Third Decades of Dollars winner in Georgia within two months
ATLANTA – A Georgia Lottery retailer in Henry County has sold a top prize Decades of Dollars ticket worth $250,000 a year for 30 years.
The lucky ticket for Thursday’s drawing was purchased at Provisions BP, located at 2297 Highway 20 E. in McDonough.
Winning numbers from the drawing were: 30-35-36-37-40-43.
The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim.
Thursday’s drawing has produced the third Decades of Dollars winner in Georgia within two months. Dianne Reid of Evans, Ga., won a top prize from the March 5 drawing, and Vilmer Meyer of Austell won a top prize from the March 8 drawing.
Decades of Dollars is a multi-state game played in Georgia, Virginia, Kentucky and Arkansas.
The game offers a top prize of $250,000 a year for 30 years or a one-time cash option amount of $4 million. The game has a $10,000 second prize.
Decades of Dollars drawings are held at 11 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Tickets cost $2 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Decades of Dollars will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
