Video store owner to halve prize with college student

ATLANTA – One Cedartown resident is enjoying his third win from the Georgia Lottery. Ronnie Dingler, owner of North Main Video in Cedartown, has won a $20,000 prize, taxes paid, from being selected as a winner in the $3,000,000 Taxes Paid Weekly Extra Chance Drawing.

With his windfall, Dingler and his wife, Vanessa, anticipate halving the prize with Ana Flores, a store employee who attends West Georgia Technical College.

“This is her third year of college, and now her books and tuition are paid for,” he said. “It thrills me and my wife to help her.”

Dingler has previously won a pool room worth $10,000 from an instant game. He also was one of five contestants to participate in a kickoff challenge at the Georgia Dome in 2006. From that, he received two tickets to an Atlanta Falcons game, a one-night hotel stay and $250 in travel money.

“I feel great, and I try to encourage people that you cannot win if you don’t enter these tickets online,” he said of the Georgia Lottery’s second chance promotions.

Of his latest prize, Dingler was in his video store when he discovered the good news.

“The TV was on, and the customer’s eyes got big,” he said. “I thought he was having a heart attack. He pointed to the TV, and I saw my name.”

The Georgia Lottery instant game $3,000,000 Taxes Paid is loaded with cash prizes of up to $3 million, taxes paid. Players can enter non-winning tickets into the $3,000,000 Taxes Paid Second Chance Promotion. For more information, visit www.galottery.com.
