ATLANTA – Judith Timms of Crawfordville has won a half-million dollar prize from the Georgia Lottery. Timms, 63, played the instant game Jumbo Jumbo Bucks and won a $500,000 top prize.
Timms claimed her prize Tuesday at the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Augusta.
Quarter Plus Dollar Store, 167 Sparta Highway S.E. in Crawfordville, sold the winning ticket. Timms scratched it at home.
“I told my husband that we had the matching No. 10 and that we’ve won,” she recalled. “I started shaking like a leaf.”
Excited about her windfall, Timms and her husband, Claude, anticipate paying off their home mortgage and other bills.
