Stone Mountain man taps $278K Fantasy 5 prize

Friday, June 21, 2013

ATLANTA – A DeKalb County man has tapped a $278,342 prize from the Georgia Lottery. Dennis Carlisle of Stone Mountain won the jackpot from matching all five winning numbers in the June 10 Fantasy 5 drawing.

Three Brothers Food Mart, 1544 Wellborn Road in Lithonia, sold the winning Quik Pik ticket.

“I was very much surprised,” said Carlisle, 55. “I had to get my son. He looked at it, and I checked it again.”

Winning numbers from the June 10 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 5-10-29-30-32.

Together, Carlisle and his wife, Doretha, have six children.

“I’m going to pay off bills, including my car note, and set some aside,” he shared.

Fantasy 5 will have minimum daily jackpots of $100,000 through June 30.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
