Winning ticket worth $100K sold in Macon

ATLANTA – A winning Georgia Lottery ticket worth $100,000 was sold in Macon. Fast Fuel #0025, located at 3855 Broadway St. in Macon, sold a winning ticket from the instant game 50X The Money.

The winner, Wendell Barefoot of Haddock, claimed his prize Oct. 16 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Macon.

The Georgia Lottery instant game 50X The Money is loaded with prizes of up to $1 million.

Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
