South Carolina man snaps up stunning $1M at Savannah store

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

ATLANTA – A South Carolina man is in high spirits since settling in with a $1 million win from the Georgia Lottery. James Mollica of Bluffton, S.C., played the new instant game $10 Million Cash Spectacular and won a $1 million top prize.

Parkway Shell, 4 Park of Commerce Way in Savannah, sold the winning ticket.

Mollica, 52, claimed his prize Jan. 27 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Savannah.

After scratching the ticket in the store, the father of two was amazed.

“I had to look at it a few times,” he said. “I feel wonderful.”

With his wife, Denise, Mollica intends to save his windfall.

The new Georgia Lottery instant game $10 Million Cash Spectacular is loaded with cash prizes, including 40 top prizes from $1 million to $10 million.

Players with non-winning $10 Million Cash Spectacular instant tickets can enter the second chance drawing for an extra chance to win $10 million. Visit www.galottery.com for additional information.
