ATLANTA – A Georgia Lottery instant ticket worth $25,000 was sold in Abbeville. Murphy Oil USA #7200, 1545 Indian Drive in Eastman, sold a Jumbo Jumbo Bucks instant ticket worth $25,000.
The winner is Moses Walker of Abbeville, who claimed his prize at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton.
Walker, 66, was heading home when he bought fuel at Wal-Mart and bought a few tickets.
“I told the cashier, ‘Give me whatever you have,’ ” he said and scratched them at home in his truck.
The lucky winner currently has no plans for his winnings.
The Georgia Lottery instant game Jumbo Jumbo Bucks is loaded with cash prizes, including $500,000 top prizes.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $15.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program.
