ATLANTA – A remodeling contractor from Gainesville has constructed a Fantasy 5 top prize win. Ronald Pelissero won $197,930 by matching all five winning numbers in the Aug. 27 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Mr. Pelissero was riding in the car with his wife, Grace, when he compared his ticket to a printout of the draw results that he received from a Georgia Lottery retailer. “It was fun!” he says.
The winning numbers for the Fantasy 5 drawing on Aug. 27 were: 1-5-6-15-31.
Mr. Pelissero purchased his Quik Pik ticket at Kroger #0473, located at 2655 Freedom Pkwy. in Cumming.
The 59-year-old plans to pay bills and make investments with his winnings.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. Kroger will receive a retailer incentive bonus of $10,000.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
