ATLANTA – It’s still the season to be jolly for Jason Kajfas. Mr. Kajfas can jingle all the way as a $750,000 top prize winner on the Georgia Lottery instant game Jingle Jumbo Bucks.
According to Mr. Kajfas, 32, he scratched the ticket at home. “My heart fluttered,” says the Hahira resident. “It can happen to anybody.”
After sharing the news with his fiancée, Mr. Kajfas wrapped the lucky ticket in plastic and placed it in a briefcase until he claimed his prize at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.
Mr. Kajfas recently began working as a self-employed DIRECTV satellite installer. He plans to “buy a house and get my business going.”
The lucky top prize ticket was purchased at Lowndes Beverage, located at 703 E. Park Ave. in Valdosta.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs. These include Georgia’s HOPE scholarship program; a statewide, voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four-year-olds; and a wide range of technological and capital upgrades for the state’s schools, technical institutes, colleges, universities and public libraries.
