ATLANTA – Augusta native John Reid travels from Texas regularly to visit family. Recently something unexpected happened during one of his trips. Mr. Reid bought a Fortune Teller instant game ticket and won the game’s $40,000 top prize.
The 58-year-old was at his brother’s house when he found out that he was a winner. “My brother said, ‘You hit the big one,’ ” Mr. Reid recalls.
The purchasing manager plans to save his winnings.
Mr. Reid, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas, purchased his winning ticket at Pak N Go. The store is located at 1649 Olive Rd. in Augusta.
