ATLANTA – A Gainesville man is celebrating a million-dollar Georgia Lottery win. James Eaton played the instant game $300 Million Gold Rush and won $1 million. Publix Super Market #0634, located at 3446 Winder Hwy. in Flowery Branch, sold the lucky ticket. Mr. Eaton was still in the store when he scratched the winning ticket. “I started shaking and looked at it a number of times,” he says. “I asked some store workers and the store manager to verify it.” According to Mr. Eaton, he went home, brewed some coffee, and sat down with his family to share the exciting news. Mr. Eaton, 62, works for a company that manages medical buildings. He and his wife Sue have two children and two grandchildren. Mr. Eaton says that he will pay bills with his winnings. He also plans to relax with his wife a bit more. $300 Million Gold Rush is a $10 game with 30 millionaires and the highest instant game top prize in Georgia history. The game offers over $304 million in total cash prizes including 10 top prizes of $2.5 MILLION, 20 $1 MILLION prizes, more than 19,600 prizes from $1,000 to $50,000, and over 498,000 prizes from $100 to $500.
