ATLANTA – A Dahlonega man is one of five players who won $100,000 playing Millionaire Raffle.
Benjamin Edwards, 56, is a maintenance worker for Lumpkin County Schools. He purchased the winning ticket at Golden Pantry #0027, 462 N. Grove St., in Dahlonega.
The limited-time offer Millionaire Raffle drawing was held Dec. 31. Edwards saw that he’d won a prize on New Year’s Day.
"I am glad I hit it," he said. "I feel wonderful about it."
Edwards said he plans to invest his money.
"I’ve really gotten lucky," he said.
Millionaire Raffle was a limited-time game where 500,000 tickets were sold in numeric order. A computerized drawing randomly selected four $1 million prizes, five $100,000 prizes and 500 $1,000 prizes.
