ATLANTA – A McCaysville man won $337,874 in the Jan. 11 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Bruce Graham Jr., 70, said he won $9 a day earlier from the Jan. 10 drawing.
"It’s a lot of money," said Graham, who is retired from the military.
Winning numbers from the Jan. 11 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 11-12-15-22-30. Graham, who selected the Quik Pik option, purchased his lucky numbers from 3 Mile Grocery Deli Feed, 3153 Blue Ridge Drive, in Blue Ridge.
He was out walking his dog when he decided to check the results of the drawing.
"This is a very nice feeling," he said. "I’ve always played to win, and I’m a firm believer in supporting education."
Graham said he plans to pay off bills.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. 3 Mile Grocery Deli Feed will receive a $7,000 retailer incentive bonus.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
