ATLANTA – Christopher O’Neal of Smithville has collected a $250,000 top prize from playing $150,000,000 Slots of Luck.
The 23-year-old, who paints houses, purchased the winning ticket at the Smithville Fast Track Foods, 119 N. Stanton Drive.
"I was about to fall out of my seat," he said. "I called my mom and dad to tell them I would pay their house off."
Besides paying off bills, O’Neal plans to buy a boat and a truck for himself.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 790,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
