ATLANTA – A Savannah mother is yelling "bingo" after an exciting Georgia Lottery win. Michelle Adams played the instant game Lucky 7's Bingo and won a $77,000 top prize.
Sandfly Convenience #0008, located at 1 Diamond Causeway in Savannah, sold the lucky ticket. Adams scratched her ticket at home.
"I almost had a heart attack," she said laughing. "I just couldn't believe it."
Adams, 36, is married with two children.
"We want to fix up our home and save the money for our future," she shared.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 850,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
