ATLANTA – A car salesman fired up a lottery win. Steven Hazel, 32, won a $50,000 top prize playing Jumbo Bucks Classic.
He purchased the winning ticket at Bodie's Shell, 306 13th St. in Augusta. Hazel said he was speechless.
"I took it home, and my wife didn't believe me," said Hazel, a North Augusta, S.C. resident. "She thought it was a dream."
Hazel and his wife, Kelli, have two sons. The couple have no immediate plans for their winnings.
"This was meant for me," he exclaimed. "I am lucky."
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education.
