ATLANTA – James Mills, 48, of Conley won $100,000 playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Millionaire Super 7's.
He purchased the ticket at Amoco Food Shop, 5690 Jonesboro Road in Lake City, and scratched it in his car.
"The middle of my chest got tight," he said.
Mills, a self-employed landscaper, established his business about two years ago. He plans to use his winnings to pay bills.
"After I pay the bills, I look forward to playing Santa," he shared.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 850,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
