ATLANTA – A grandmother of four in Brunswick used a combination of birthdays and anniversaries for a winning Powerball combination. Deborah Edwards, 58, matched the first five winning numbers in the Feb. 12 Powerball drawing, winning a $200,000 prize.
Winning numbers from the Feb. 12 drawing were: 11-32-36-48-52 and the Powerball was 19. Fast Fuel #0021, 310 Old Jesup Road in Brunswick, sold the winning ticket.
Edwards realized that she’d won her prize while checking the results of the drawing on the Georgia Lottery’s website.
“I woke my husband up and told him I think I won some money,” she said.
In addition to her grandchildren, Edwards has two adult children with her husband, George.
She has no immediate plans for her win.
