ATLANTA – Lady Luck ran through Fayette County last night. Two tickets sold in the area won $10,000 in Thursday’s Decades of Dollars drawing.
Anthony Locke of College Park claimed one of the prizes Friday. His ticket was purchased at One Stop Amoco, 2950 Highway 138 SW, Fayetteville.
The second ticket was sold at Star BP, 744 Glynn St. N, Fayetteville. That winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim.
Decades of Dollars is a multi-state game played in Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia. The game offers a top prize of $250,000 a year for 30 years and a $10,000 second prize. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Tickets cost $2 per play.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $12.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.3 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
