Madison man wins $122K prize
ATLANTA – A Madison man’s fantasy has come true. Christopher Ryan Morgan, 34, matched all five winning numbers in the March 23 Fantasy 5 drawing and won $122,984.
“I was pretty ecstatic,” Morgan said. “I was jumping for joy.”
Rutledge Crossing, located at 148 W. Atlanta Highway in Rutledge, sold the top prize Quik Pik ticket.
“We’re going to pay off some bills and put a deck on the house,” said Morgan, who is married with two children. “It feels pretty good.”
Winning numbers from the March 23 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 8-9-24-31-35.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $12.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.3 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
