ATLANTA – A woman in Midway, who is happily expecting her first grandchild, already is cuddling a half-million dollar prize. Sandra Smith won a $500,000 prize playing the instant game Jumbo Jumbo Bucks.
Lake George Get-N-Go, 1604 Limerick Road in Midway, sold the winning ticket.
“The cashier and I had been joking around about if one of us had won a big amount when I scratched the ticket in the store,” Smith said. “We both screamed.”
Smith, 45, and her husband, Tim, have two adult children and are expecting their first grandchild “due any day.”
Excited about her windfall, Smith intends to help her mother.
