ATLANTA – It wasn’t the size of a loaf of bread that had Martha Glover of Macon excited but a Georgia Lottery win worth thousands. Glover, 57, won $27,777 playing the instant game Red Hot & Wild 7’s.
“I just happened to go in the store for a loaf of bread, and I asked for a ticket,” she said.
Fastee Foods, 2893 Napier Ave. in Macon, sold the winning ticket.
“When I got home, I scratched it,” she explained. “I had to call my niece, and she came over and saw that it was true.”
Feeling great about her windfall, Glover anticipates buying a new wardrobe and taking a vacation.
Glover, who works in child care, has three children with her husband, Dexter.
