ATLANTA – A concrete truck driver from Tallapoosa has cemented a Georgia Lottery win. Richard Bentley, 51, won $187,968 in the Feb. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Bentley claimed his prize Monday and considers it a birthday gift.
“I rode around with the ticket for two weeks,” he said. “I checked it two days before my birthday.”
Bentley immediately shared the exciting news with his wife, Lisa.
“We looked at each other and laughed the rest of the night,” he said.
The Bentleys plan to share their prize with their three children and will put some aside for their five grandchildren.
“Other than kids and grandkids, this is the most awesome thing ever,” Bentley said.
Winning numbers for the Feb. 7 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 2-5-16-30-31.
Bentley purchased his top prize Quik Pik ticket at Waco Mini Mart, 5749 U.S. Highway 78, Bremen.
