ATLANTA – A Mitchell County chicken processing plant worker has pecked a plentiful Georgia Lottery prize. Gregory Johns of Pelham played the instant game Maximum Green and won a $1 million prize.
With his win, the 19-year-old intends to help family and “save it, I guess.”
“It hasn’t hit me yet,” he shared. “I’m still stunned.”
Johns purchased the lucky ticket at Aden’s Minit Market #50, 3790 Highway 111 in Meigs, but he scratched it at home.
“When I scratched it, I had to look twice. I couldn’t believe it,” he said.
Maximum Green is a Georgia Lottery instant game loaded with cash prizes of up to $5 million. Players can enter non-winning tickets in the monthly Maximum Green Extra Chance Drawing to win one of 10 monthly prizes of $10,000. For more information, visit www.galottery.com.
