ATLANTA – The Georgia Lottery celebrated new enhancements to Powerball with a spectacular light show at halftime of Saturday’s Atlanta Hawks game.
During the one-of-a-kind production, the basketball court was transformed to illustrate the journey of a Powerball from the mixing chamber to a winning combination.

The new Powerball recently debuted with bigger starting jackpots, better overall odds and more millionaires.
Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday. Wednesday’s jackpot is $120 million.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia. Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $13.1 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.4 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
