ATLANTA – A plush Georgia Lottery prize has emerged in Columbus for one lucky winner. Raceway #6725, located at 4421 Victory Drive, has sold a winning ticket worth $1 million from the instant game $10 Million Cash Spectacular.
The winner, Frank Guthrie of Seale, Ala., claimed his prize Jan. 27 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Columbus.
Guthrie scratched his ticket in the store and showed his findings to the store’s cashier.
“The guy next to me overheard, and he was more excited than I was,” recalled Guthrie, 55. “He was running around screaming and flailing his arms. It was kind of funny.”
A portion of his winnings will go toward his retirement, and Guthrie also plans to visit Ireland and the Isle of Wales.
“That’s where my papa’s kinfolk come from,” he shared.
The Georgia Lottery instant game $10 Million Cash Spectacular is loaded with cash prizes, including cash prizes of up to $1 million and $10 million.
Players can enter non-winning tickets into the $10 Million Cash Spectacular Extra Chance Promotion for a second chance to win $10 million. For more information, visit www.galottery.com.
