ATLANTA – A Covington factory worker has piled on a prize from the Georgia Lottery. Leonard Dickerson, 63, is one of two players each to win the $275,878 jackpot prize from the Jan. 10 Fantasy 5 drawing.
Dickerson selected a combination of family birthdays as his lucky numbers for the drawing.
He purchased his winning ticket at Shell Food Mart, 52 S. Broad St. in Porterdale. The second jackpot-winning ticket was sold in Alto.
The grandfather of four checked the Georgia Lottery’s website for the results of the drawing.
“I was kind of numb for a little bit,” he said. “It took a while to sink in.”
Dickerson and his wife, Terrie, have three adult children in addition to their grandchildren.
The lucky winner has no immediate plans for his windfall.
Winning numbers from the Jan. 10 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 3-6-12-18-27.
