ATLANTA – One lucky man from Griffin will experience a memorable holiday season this year thanks to the Georgia Lottery. Kenneth Carter, 31, played the new holiday-themed instant ticket Jingle Jumbo Bucks, winning a $1 million top prize.
“I like to play holiday tickets,” Carter said. “I enjoy gathering with my family this time of year.”
North Fork Chevron, 3078 Highway 81 in Oxford, sold the winning ticket.
Carter was sitting in his truck when he discovered his windfall.
“I was just shaking,” he said. “I asked for the rest of the day off.”
A local truck driver, Carter feels good about winning and is planning for his future.
“I think I want to start my own truck driving company,” he said.
