ATLANTA – Jessica Herrick of Covington is excited, especially since winning a quarter-million dollar prize from the Georgia Lottery. Herrick played the new instant game Harley-Davidson®, winning a $250,000 top prize.
Walton Truck Stop, 1490 Highway 78 E. in Monroe, sold the winning ticket.
She claimed her prize Oct. 6 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Duluth.
Herrick, 39, scratched the ticket while in her car.
“I started screaming, and I called my husband,” she said. “It doesn’t seem real.”
The lucky winner and her husband, Michael, have five children, and Herrick is a registered nurse.
With her winnings, Herrick plans to purchase a new home.
