ATLANTA – Glenda Alford of Macon has won an awesome prize playing a Georgia Lottery scratcher. Alford, 50, played the instant game Mighty Jumbo Bucks and won $25,000.
Amoco Food Store, 2579 Emery Highway, Macon, sold the winning ticket.
Alford, an accountant in Macon, was out running errands when she purchased her ticket.
“I just decided to buy one,” she said. “I took it outside and scratched it in the store parking lot.”
The lucky winner cried tears of joy and immediately called her sister after realizing she had won.
“I couldn’t believe it,” she said. “I was shocked.”
Alford intends to use her winnings to purchase a home with her sister.
Alford claimed her prize recently at the Macon Georgia Lottery District Office.
