ATLANTA – Kade Shiver of Kite has built up a considerable amount of luck. Shiver recently won $150,000 playing the Georgia Lottery scratcher Giant Jumbo Bucks.
Flash Foods #0008, 213 N. Marcus St., Wrightsville, sold the winning ticket.
Shiver said that he was in the car with his mother leaving the convenience store when he scratched the ticket and realized that it was a winner.
“I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I told my mother to turn the car around.”
After returning to the store and asking the clerk to scan the ticket, Shiver said that he was in shock.
“I couldn’t talk,” he said. “I told my mom, and she couldn’t believe it either.”
The 25-year-old construction worker said that he plans to use his winnings to purchase a new vehicle and celebrate with his family.
“It couldn’t have come at a better time,” the lucky winner said.
Shiver claimed his prize Thursday at the Georgia Lottery’s Macon District Office.
