ATLANTA – An Oglethorpe resident has 10 million reasons to celebrate after winning $10 million playing Mega Jumbo Bucks, a Georgia Lottery Scratcher.
Amoco Food Store, located at 106 Macon St. in Oglethorpe, sold the top prize ticket.
The winner claimed April 12.
Mega Jumbo Bucks is a scratch-off game with $10 million top prizes, $50,000 second prizes, and many other great cash prizes.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $26.1 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 2.1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.7 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
