Atlanta – The Georgia Lottery Corp. today announced it generated a record $409.1 million in profits for the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, bringing the total transferred to the State Treasury’s Lottery for Education Account since inception to more than $30.6 billion.
This is the largest second quarter transfer and best first half performance in Georgia Lottery history.
The Georgia Lottery’s second quarter performance brings profits for education to a record $823.9 million for the first half of FY26, which spanned from July 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.
“Our record-setting second quarter and first half provide a strong foundation for us to build upon for the remainder of the fiscal year, as we work hard each day for Georgia’s students and families,” Georgia Lottery President and CEO Gretchen Corbin said. “We are grateful for the leadership of Gov. Kemp, the legislature, and our board of directors, as well as the dedication and support provided by our lottery employees, retailers, vendors, partners and players.”
Georgia Lottery sales were boosted in the first half by large jackpots, including a $983 million Mega Millions win in Newnan in November.
