ATLANTA – Construction worker Brandan Daniels was left speechless after playing Jumbo Bucks Classic, a Georgia Lottery instant game. Mr. Daniels won the $50,000 top prize.
The Lawrenceville native gave his friend a high five and called his mother to relay the good news. “She couldn’t believe it,” Mr. Daniels explained.
Mr. Daniels, 21, plans to use his winnings to do something special for his mother.
Citgo Quick Mart, located at 2505 Old Norcross Rd. in Lawrenceville, sold the winning ticket.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia's HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia's Prekindergarten Program. More than 900,000 students have received HOPE Scholarships, and more than 700,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
