ATLANTA – A high school Spanish teacher will kick off the holidays with a $750,000 win. Hinesville resident Frank Boguszewski won his top prize playing the Georgia Lottery’s holiday-themed instant game Jingle Jumbo Bucks.
Boguszewski, who has taught for 20 years, said he stopped for a newspaper at Friendly Express #0046, 23 Talmadge Road in Walthourville, and purchased the ticket.
He sat in his truck in the store’s parking lot just before dawn and scratched it.
“It was definitely dark, but I figured my eyes were bad,” he quipped. “I went home and woke up my son, daughter and my father.”
Boguszewski, 52, is extremely happy about winning his prize.
“This will change our lives in the future,” he exclaimed. “We’ll just get our family set on the right path.”
His children are ages 24 and 22, and Boguszewski has a granddaughter, who is 19 months old.
