ATLANTA – A Brunswick chef has cooked up a Georgia Lottery prize. Robin Middleton, 47, was getting gas when she won $10,000 playing the instant game Junior Jumbo Bucks.
“I was in shock,” she said. “There was a man beside me pumping his gas, and I had to call him over to look at it.”
The top prize ticket was purchased at Murphy Oil #5779, 136 Altama Connector, Brunswick.
Middleton, whose father passed in September, won the prize on what would have been her parents’ 58th wedding anniversary. She will share her winnings with her mother.
“I’m just happy that I’m able to help my mom,” she said. “It feels good for something positive to happen.”
Middleton also plans to do something special for her 24-year-old daughter, who is legally blind.
“She wants a laptop that’s large enough for her to see and a fancy new cell phone,” Middleton shared.
