Dahlonega real estate agent sweeps $327K Fantasy 5 win
ATLANTA – A Dahlonega real estate agent is taking home a lottery win. Kathleen Manzella, 68, has matched all five winning numbers in the Feb. 14 drawing, winning a $327,996 jackpot prize.
Using a combination of her own numbers, Manzella purchased her ticket at Pilot Travel #0630, 1125 Bucksnort Road, Jackson.
Winning numbers from the Feb. 14 drawing were: 9-10-18-19-31.
Manzella discovered her win while watching the televised drawing.
“It was surreal,” she said. “I was in total shock.”
Feeling good about her recent windfall, Manzella plans to pay off her home mortgage.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning Fantasy 5 jackpot tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning jackpot ticket is sold, the retailers selling the winning jackpot tickets will share the bonus. Pilot Travel will receive an $8,000 retailer incentive bonus.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $12.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.3 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
