ATLANTA – A Macon store is a hot spot for the new Georgia Lottery game Decades of Dollars. Kwickie/Flash #0219, located at 5602 Thomaston Road in Macon, has sold two $10,000 winning tickets in the game’s first month.
Danny Foster of Macon and Barbara Ann Ridley of McDonough are the lucky winners. They won by matching five of six winning numbers.
Foster won Feb. 24 and claimed his prize the following day. The technology company employee plans to save and buy a new car.
“I’ve been driving the same car for quite a number of years,” he said. “I’m planning on upgrading my transportation somewhat.”
Ridley won Feb. 14. She claimed her prize Feb. 18.
Decades of Dollars is a multi-state game played in Georgia, Kentucky and Virginia. The game offers a top prize of $250,000 a year for 30 years. Drawings are held at 11 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Tickets cost $2 per play.
