ATLANTA – One Georgia Lottery retailer is all the rave among players in Hinesville, especially since selling two top-tier winning tickets in three months.
BP Food Mart, located at 251 W. General Screven Way in Hinesville, has sold a $40,000 10X The Money instant ticket and a $250,000 Mega Millions ticket from the Jan. 4 drawing.
Store owner Rock Patel said the store is popular.
“We’re doing great over here,” he said. “Pretty much the whole town knows – that’s why they keep coming back.”
“We have fun with our customers,” Patel said. “They’re like my family.”

Ronald Wharton of Ludowici matched the first five winning numbers from the Jan. 4 Mega Millions drawing, winning a $250,000 prize.
“We’re doing well in our town,” Patel exclaimed.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $12.3 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.3 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.1 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
