ATLANTA – Coming down with strep throat wasn’t so bad for one Gwinnett County man. Brian Alston, a computer technician, was home from work with strep throat when he won a brand new Jeep playing the instant game Jeep Outdoor Adventure.
Alston, a resident of Lawrenceville, received the keys to his 2012 Jeep Compass at Stone Mountain Chrysler Jeep Dodge, 5054 Highway 78 in Stone Mountain, on Monday.
“I was just out of work that week,” he explained. “I went to the doctor, he gave me a shot, and I was feeling a little better.”
So he decided to stop at the store, AA Food Mart, 2339 Lawrenceville Highway in Lawrenceville, where he purchased his lucky ticket.
But Alston, 34, didn’t scratch it until he returned home.
“I was in a dark area, and I couldn’t believe it,” he said. “I held it to the light, and then went back to the store, and the clerk confirmed it.”
