ATLANTA – A win from the Georgia Lottery could help kick start a career for one Houston County man. Sequoyeah Canion of Warner Robins won a $25,000 prize playing the new instant game Cash Deluxe.
With his windfall, the 19-year-old intends to enroll into college.
“I’m going to go to school,” Canion shared. “I’m planning to go to Mercer (University) to study mechanical engineering.”
Canion was visiting family in Perry when he stopped for gas at Perry Food Mart, 719 Carroll St. in Perry, where he bought his lucky ticket.
“I scratched the ticket, and I was excited,” he said. “Winning feels good.”
The lucky winner claimed his prize Thursday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Macon.
Cash Deluxe is an instant ticket with prizes of up to $500,000.
