5 Georgia players statewide win big!
ATLANTA – The Mega Millions jackpot has reached an estimated $400 million to a single annuity winner, the second largest jackpot in the history of the multi-state game.
The jackpot began rolling Oct. 4 and has rolled 20 times. The next drawing is Friday.
Georgians have won lots of great prizes, including two winning tickets worth $5,000 that were sold in Norcross from the Dec. 10 drawing. Another two winning tickets worth $5,000 were sold in Pelham and Lawrenceville.
One lucky Georgia Lottery player won a $10,000 prize. The winning ticket was purchased in Gainesville.
It only takes $1 to play Mega Millions for a chance to win big. Players can multiply prizes with the Megaplier option for an additional $1 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Mega Millions will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $14.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.6 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.3 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
