ATLANTA – An Augusta woman has won an eye-catching luxury vehicle playing a Georgia Lottery instant game. Clarice Thomas, a retired nurse, won a 2015 Cadillac CTS playing the instant game Cadillac Riches.
Super Express #0003, 2545 Peach Orchard Road in Augusta, sold the winning ticket.
“I saw the ticket from the corner of my eye,” said Thomas, 71, who scratched the ticket while at home. “Everyone is excited. I’ve been saying all last month that I need a new car.”
Georgia Lottery representatives presented Thomas with the keys to her new vehicle Wednesday at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Grovetown.
Thomas has three adult sons, two adult daughters and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The lucky winner worked as nurse, providing in-home services, for 42 years, retiring in 2009.
“This came at a good time,” Thomas shared.
