ATLANTA – A mother of three is enjoying the fantasy lifestyle after winning the $401,587 Fantasy 5 jackpot prize from the June 8 drawing.
Jeanette Leonard, 61, won the Fantasy 5 jackpot prize from matching all five winning numbers with a Quik Pik ticket. The lucky winner claimed her prize June 13 at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Macon.
Marathon Food Mart, 6199 Thomaston Road in Macon, sold the winning ticket.
Leonard checked the results of the drawing at home, and she was shocked when she discovered that she’d won.
“I took the ticket home and checked it online,” she said.
With no immediate plans for her winnings, Leonard will consider her options.
“I haven’t thought it over yet,” she said. “I’ll probably get most of the bills paid off.”
Winning numbers from the June 8 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 20-29-31-33-42.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $17.4 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.7 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.4 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
