$2 million Georgia Lottery ticket sold in Alpharetta
ATLANTA – A gas station in Alpharetta sold a winning ticket worth $2 million from the Georgia Lottery’s Georgia Millions scratcher.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Publix Super Market #762, located at 13800 Highway 9 N.
The winner claimed the prize Monday.
The Georgia Millions scratcher offers players chances to win top prizes of $2 million, second prizes of $10,000 and loads of other great prizes.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $23.8 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 1.9 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
