ATLANTA – Two $50,000 winning tickets were purchased in Georgia for the Feb. 12 Powerball drawing. The lucky tickets, which matched four of the first five winning numbers plus the Powerball, were sold in Atlanta and on the Georgia Lottery’s mobile app.
The Atlanta ticket was purchased at Walmart Supercenter #3401, 6149 Old National Highway.
Winning numbers from the Feb. 12 Powerball drawing were: 8-10-21-41-62 and the Powerball was 7.
Powerball winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
Powerball tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents also can purchase tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online at www.galottery.com.
Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 11 p.m. (ET).
Wednesday’s jackpot is at an estimated $20 million to a single annuity winner.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $24.6 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.6 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
