ATLANTA – Powerball’s world record jackpot run continues. The Powerball jackpot now stands at an estimated $1.9 billion with a cash option of $929.1 million for the next drawing on Monday, Nov. 7.
The Powerball jackpot rolled after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Saturday night – white balls 28, 45, 53, 56, 69 and red Powerball 20. The Power Play multiplier was 3X.
Big winners in Georgia for Saturday’s drawing include a $1 million prize won in Evans along with seven $50,000 prizes won around the state.
The $1 million ticket was purchased at Publix Super Market #0526, 4274 Washington Road, Evans. The seven $50,000 tickets were purchased in Atlanta, Bremen, Milledgeville, Pooler, Roberta, Watkinsville and West Point.
Since the current jackpot run began with the Aug. 6 drawing, Powerball has generated approximately $33.4 million for the Georgia Lottery-funded HOPE Scholarship and Pre-K programs.
In addition, Georgia Lottery players have won approximately $12.3 million in Powerball prizes since the jackpot began growing in August.
Players are reminded to check their tickets for one of the nine ways to win.
Powerball winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
Powerball tickets can be purchased at Georgia Lottery retailers statewide. Georgia residents with a Georgia mailing address, who are located in Georgia at the time of purchase, can purchase Powerball tickets via the Georgia Lottery app or online at www.galottery.com.
Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Powerball players can multiply prizes with the Power Play option for an additional $1 per play.
As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corp. has returned more than $25.7 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs, including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Pre-K Program. More than 2 million students have received HOPE, and more than 1.7 million 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
