ATLANTA (August 4, 2025) – August is off to a strong start for Georgia Lottery players, headlined by a $1 million Powerball prize in the August 2 drawing. The winning ticket matched all five white-ball numbers and was purchased at Shell Food Mart, 3152 Memorial Drive in Decatur.
Two additional Powerball players also scored big in the same drawing. A Savannah resident and an Atlanta resident each won $50,000 with tickets purchased on the Georgia Lottery website. Both matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball. The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for August 4, with an estimated jackpot of $426 million.
Fantasy 5 players also saw back-to-back wins to begin the month. In the August 1 drawing, two tickets matched all five numbers to hit the jackpot, with each player winning $105,299. One ticket was purchased at Ebenezer Chevron, 115 Ebenezer Road in Rincon, and the other by a Guyton resident on the Georgia Lottery mobile app.
Two more players hit the jackpot in the August 2 Fantasy 5 drawing, each winning $62,500. A Macon resident purchased one winning ticket on the mobile app, and the second winning ticket came from Big G Grocery Store, 2050 Southampton Road in College Park.
Finally, a Toccoa resident won $293,691 playing the Georgia Jackpot Bankroll Diggi Game on the mobile app.
As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball, Fantasy 5, and Diggi Games benefit education in the state of Georgia.
