ATLANTA (August 11, 2025) – A Woodstock resident won the $1 million top prize playing the Georgia Lottery’s Millionaire Maker scratcher. The lucky ticket was purchased at Welcome Foodmart, 6742 Bells Ferry Road in Woodstock. The player selected the cash option, claiming $505,685 on August 8. In total, Georgia Lottery players won $42,368,703 playing scratch-off tickets last week.
In the August 8 Fantasy 5 drawing, one lucky player hit the jackpot for $125,000 with a ticket purchased at BP, 3459 Cobb Parkway NW in Acworth. The ticket matched all five winning numbers, which were 10-17-24-30-38.
On August 8, one lucky Jefferson player scored two separate jackpots on the same day playing Diggi Games on the Georgia Lottery website. They won $20,000 playing Lucky Coins and another $20,000 playing Fishing for Gold. In addition, a Cumming player won $10,000 playing Elephant King Jackpots that same day.
Two Mega Millions players matched four of the five white-ball numbers and the Mega Ball in the August 8 drawing. A ticket purchased at Fraziers @ Madras, 2344 Highway 29 North in Newnan, had a built-in 10X multiplier, turning a $10,000 prize into $100,000. Another ticket, purchased at Robinson & Sons, 14 Commerce Place in Tallapoosa, featured a 3X multiplier to triple a $10,000 prize to $30,000. The next Mega Millions drawing will be held August 12 with an estimated jackpot of $182 million.
In the August 9 Powerball drawing, a Brunswick player won $50,000 with a ticket purchased on the Georgia Lottery mobile app that matched four of the five numbers and the Powerball. The next Powerball drawing is set for August 11 with an estimated jackpot of $501 million.
Finally, a Georgia FIVE ticket purchased at Ken & Chris Package Store, 2790 Candler Road in Decatur, won $10,000 in the August 10 evening drawing.
As with all Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from scratchers, Fantasy 5, Diggi Games, Mega Millions, Powerball, and Georgia FIVE benefit education in the state of Georgia.
