ATLANTA (Oct. 2, 2025) – Two Georgia Lottery players won major prizes in the Oct. 1 Powerball drawing. The first player won $1 million by matching all 5 white-ball numbers with a ticket purchased at Publix, 270 Rucker Road in Alpharetta. The second matched four numbers and the Powerball number to win $50,000. That ticket was purchased at El Cheapo, 385 Harris Trail Road in Richmond Hill. The winning numbers were 08-17-22-28-55 with a Powerball of 14 and a 3X Power Play Multiplier. The next drawing will be Oct. 4 with an estimated jackpot of $195 million.
Another Georgia Lottery player won $40,000 in the Sept. 30 Mega Millions drawing. The ticket, which matched four of the five numbers plus the Mega Ball, had a built-in 4X multiplier, quadrupling the prize from $10,000 to $40,000. The winning ticket was purchased at Sher, 1697 Norman Drive in College Park. The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Oct. 3 with an estimated jackpot of $520 million.
In addition, a Gainesville resident won $20,874 playing the Elephant Kings Jackpots Diggi Game on the Georgia Lottery mobile app on Oct. 1 and a player won $10,000 in the Sept. 30 midday Georgia FIVE drawing with a ticket from Citgo Food Mart, 5754 Covington Highway in Decatur.
